On the chilly mornings of Rio Grande do Sul, the roar of the Lockheed TF-33A's turbine warmed the runway at Canoas Air Base (BACO). Between 1968 and November 1975, this aircraft experienced the peak and the end of its operational career in the Brazilian Air Force. The TF-33A of the south was not just a trainer; it was the first line of defense on Brazil's southern borders, patrolling the skies with the elegance of a classic jet and the readiness of an experienced warrior.
The Pampa Squadron (1st/14th GAV) carries one of the strongest identities in the FAB. Sporting the mascot "Zé Gaúcho" and the famous motto "Já te Atendo" (a promise of quick and effective interception), the squadron made the TF-33A an extension of the Gaucho fighting spirit. Flying the T-Bird on "Air Force Fourteen" required skill to handle the unstable weather of the south and discipline to maintain national sovereignty until the aircraft's last day of service.
This work by Alexandre Guedes is a tribute to FAB 4339, capturing its final configuration before deactivation in 1975. The horizontal illustration highlights the long fuselage of the TF (two-seater) model, the shine of the natural aluminum and, crucially, the distinctive marks of the Pampa: the blue stripes and emblems that commanded respect. It is the visual representation of an era that left fond memories in Canoas, immortalizing the machine that trained generations of fighter pilots in the south of the country.
Premium Finish with Steel Core:
Landscape Format (42 x 30 cm): The horizontal orientation was selected to give breadth to the artwork, allowing you to visualize the complete aerodynamic profile of the jet on your wall.
Controlled Metallic Reflection: The 250g coated paper with a semi-gloss finish is the perfect technical choice. It mimics the visual texture of the fuselage metal, interacting with ambient light to create a realistic, glare-free effect.
Collector's Precision: A rigorous side profile, signed by Alexandre Guedes, guaranteeing the fidelity of the colors and markings from the 1968-1975 period.
