The Lockheed TF-33A Shooting Star (a variant of the T-33) was the aircraft responsible for introducing the jet age to the skies of Northeast Brazil. Robust, reliable, and with elegant lines, this advanced trainer and light attack aircraft served as the main tool for defense and fighter pilot training during the 1960s and 70s. Its gleaming metallic fuselage became a constant and admired sight over the dunes and coastline of Ceará.
Based at the Fortaleza Air Base (BAFZ), the 1st/4th Aviation Group, the legendary "Pacau," created an unparalleled identity. Operating far from the major centers of the South/Southeast, the squadron developed a warrior and independent spirit. Its aircraft were immediately recognizable by the iconic nose paint scheme known as "Lizard Smile"—an aggressive and regionalized adaptation of "shark mouths," which gave the jets a fierce and unmistakable personality.
This artwork by Alexandre Guedes faithfully portrays the TF-33A with registration FAB 4331. The illustration captures the essence of the FAB's "Silver Age": the natural metal finish (bare metal), the distinctive red stripes of the Pacau on the tail and wingtip tanks, and, of course, the famous Lizard Smile. It is a precise visual record of a machine that marked the history of BAFZ until its decommissioning in 1975.
Visual Quality for Demanding Clients:
Elite Printing: High-definition laser technology in horizontal format (42 x 30 cm), ideal for highlighting the elongated profile of the aircraft.
Semi-Gloss Finish: The 250g coated paper with a semi-gloss finish was purposefully chosen for this product. It simulates the soft reflection of the polished aluminum of the real fuselage, bringing the illustration to life without causing glare.
Authoritative Artwork: Created by Alexandre Guedes, ensuring that the proportions and colors of the Pacau emblem are historically accurate.
