The Lockheed F-80C Shooting Star is a masterpiece of functional aircraft design. It set the standard for early jet fighters: straight wings for stability, a powerful Allison J33 turbojet engine, and crucially, concentrated firepower. With its six .50 caliber machine guns clustered in the nose, the F-80C didn't need convergent fire like previous propeller-driven aircraft; wherever the pilot aimed, destruction followed. It was the perfect fusion of 900 km/h speed and surgical lethality.

FAB 4202 was one of the protagonists at the Fortaleza Air Base (BAFZ) during the consolidation of the 1st/4th GAV as a jet fighter unit. While the world lived through the tension of the Cold War, these aircraft maintained surveillance over the vast coastline of Northeast Brazil. The silver silhouette crossing the skies of Ceará became a symbol of security and modernity, marking an era in which the "Pacau" operated at the forefront of South American military technology.

In this work, Alexandre Guedes presents a faithful representation of the FAB 4202 in its complete operational configuration. The horizontal artwork highlights the jet's aggressive elegance, detailing the large wingtip tanks—essential for the aircraft's range—and the natural metal finish that defined the FAB's aesthetics in that decade. Each panel line and rivet has been positioned to recreate the physical presence of this Lockheed legend.

Finish that Enhances the Metal:

Landscape Format (42 x 30 cm): The horizontal orientation was chosen so that the observer can follow the entire fuselage of the jet, from the armed nose to the classic tail.

"Bare Metal" Effect: The 250g coated paper with a semi-gloss finish is fundamental here. It reproduces the look of the real aircraft's polished aluminum, reflecting light softly and realistically, without the excessive artificial shine of common gloss papers.

Expert Art: A technical profile drawn with historical rigor by Alexandre Guedes, ensuring your decoration has aeronautical credibility.
